Whenever I work on such project or reading on it, garbage collection is one of many problems that developers will face.  Some times I hope that Java give more control (dynamically, programmatically) of memory management to developers.

Scripting Language vs. Java

Posted by Keith under Java

I remember back in late 90’s to early 2000, everyone was screaming and yelling that scripting language will take over the web development.  Well, it ain’t happened.  However, significant portion of web sites are now developed in scripting language, and they aren’t small sites either.

As Windows is de-facto desktop OS and Linux is the backend, may be scripting language based technology will serve web frontend, and java and other technology for backend.
