Tried Wine, didn't work.
On Ubuntu, use GoldenDict (SNAP), and get dictionary files from:

Works well.
I prefer offline dictionary - no network dependency, and dictionary files are useful for NLP projects.
These "note" blog postings are really just notes for myself. In case I have to re-build.
